More model informationThis is a bake of one option from a Planet Generator that Thomas Petitjean, Krishna Sriram, Yang Zhang, Marco Cermusoni, and Conrad Sly made during their first semester of graduate studies at the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was baked so that we could showcase the artwork that went behind creating the planet generator.
The project was about creating an educational tool for middle schools that could educate students from the ages of 10-13 about what makes life on planet Earth possible. Using Substance Designer to create procedural textures in Unity 5, the user could dynamically edit their planet in real time, discovering the fine balance of planetary igredients that make life possible in the goldilocks zone.
