Platåbreen on Platåberget, 2 October 2017
Lying close to Longyearbyen, this is a well visited glacier. Its countless ridges in the forefield may be moraines, formed by climate or glacier fluctuations over time. The forefield is currently filled with ice, previously incorporated by the glacier, and is now melting out in its outermost parts.
The model was made from 346 vertical and 84 oblique drone images.
