Plesetsk Cosmodrome site 41 pad 1

This is site 41, pad 1 at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. Its the only “abandoned” Soyuz launch pad. It was active from 1959-1989 before it was dismanteled, and “canibalized” for another Soyuz launchpad. The only remains of it (as shown in the model) is its bare, concrete pad, flame deflector, and is single “Service Tunnel”. The Service Cabin, “Tulip” truss arms, Service gantry halves, and fueling masts have been removed.
