A 17th century Polish Hussar sabre modeled after Szabla Polska’s great work: http://www.szablapolska.com/szabla-husarska-typ-2/ (You can actually buy this sword for around 700 Euro)
Such sabres have several types of hilt and blade designs. For a hilt like this, it often features a thumb ring and a knuckle bowl angling for roughly 100 degrees from the cross that visually connects with the pommel.
A historical blade like this does not usually have aggressive distal tapers like many British sabres do in the early 19th century. This blade starts with 5.5mm thickness from the hilt that tapers to 5mm at the Yalman. That’s about 3/4 length of the blade. The Yalman and other front part of the blade are of course thinner. This sabre is about 800g with a 79cm blade and 15cm POB.
