Ursus A was basically a modification of the Italian truck Fiat-SPA 25C adapted to harsh Polish weather and poor roads. This is the SPA version, with minor modifications and wooden closed cab.

This early version, which adopted the closed wooden cab (the original SPA - FIAT version had an open cab) more suited to the cold weather of central Europe, is also characterised by electric headlights, the Ursus logo on the radiator, “S” shaped mudguards and an open wooden cargo bay with supports for the canvas structure. It also had no front bumper.
