More model informationThis is my personal reconstruction of the marble head of Augustus held at the British Museum (1879,0712.9) and which photogrammetry model is also in my profile.
Both the ears and the nose were missing in the original piece, as well as the neck was completely broken. I modelled these elements and, due to the fact that it is unkown whether the head belonged to a whole body or just to a bust, I opted for the latter. The polychromy is also a personal interpretation following the latest studies on polychromy in ancient sculpture.
