Population of Saxony in 2023

Tried to visualize some statistics that I found on our Federal Office of Statistics website. They provide a a lot of of raw data about our beautiful Saxony. So I grabed them, and imported the data via Python and a csv file in Houdini. I then feeded in coordinates, population, names and the area of each (418) “politically independent municipalities” and projected the points on a common SVG-map. After that, I placed squares with a relative size of the area of the municipalities end extruded them with a relative size of their population. Before exporting it to Sketchfab, I labeled all municipalities with a population over 15k residents.
