More model informationArtifact recovered in excavations at the Moseley Homestead, a National Register of Historic Place site in Brandon, Florida. This type of porcelain bisque doll figure dates to before 1900, and was recovered in a household dump area identified in the survey. The figure is that of a woman with upswept hair style. These types of dolls sometimes had porcelain heads, arms, and legs with a cloth body. Archaeologically, the porcelain bisque parts are often recovered without connection to the cloth bodies which have disentegrated or the porcelain parts were broken from the doll. In this case the head is broken at the neck.
