Pese a la degradación de algunas de sus figuras, aún destaca la monumentalidad de la portada románica de Santa María de Ripoll, construída hacia mediados del siglo XII para decorar la entrada principal de la iglesia, siendo uno de los ejemplos más monumentales, en cuanto a la decoración escultórica en el ámbito del románico catalán.
