There are many products made from clay, one of them is a jug or in Indonesia, it is called Kendi. In prehistoric times, jugs or Kendi were found at several sites, such as Rengasdengklok, where a jug from around the 1st century was found and at the Liang Bua site. Furthermore, as long as metal tools appear, Indonesian people have used jug too since 4000 years ago, it can be seen through the findings in Kerinci, Pantai Utara Jawa, Gilimanuk Site. Clay-based tools or pottery tools are also commonly found as remains of the Majapahit kingdom, especially those found in Trowulan. Jugs from different times and places have different patterns, carvings, decorations, shapes, or strokes. Therefore, the jug not only functioned as a water container, but also showed the culture of the people at that time.
