More model information

The Pozzo del Merro is a sinkhole located north east of Rome. Several explorations were conducted but they stopped at a depth of 390 meters, without reaching its bottom. It is one of the deepest sinkholes in the world. In 2005 it was described the Niphargus cornicolanus, a crustacean endemic to the submerged part of the sinkhole. The 3D model, as a result of a photogrammetric survey, covers the first 70 meters of the sinkhole while the remaining part is underwater.
