Ancient Egyptian egg shaped ceramic jar with lug handles, painted with a spot deisgn (likely as a stylised imitation of a stone vessel). Excavated by John Garstang from grave F35 at the Hierakonpolis Fort Cemetery, this pot dates to the Naqada III phase of the Egyptian Predynastic to Early Dynastic Period. Height: 8.7cm.
