Primitive Large Wooden Bowl

This oversized wooden bowl was used to press fresh garlic using a wooden masher tool. The bowl is part of a collection of household utility and food preparation artifacts that were 3D documented from the Giunta Homestead in East Ybor neighborhood of Tampa, Florida. The Giunta Homestead is a National Register of Historic Places and landmark site in the City of Tampa, and the Center for Digital Heritage nd Geospatial Information in the University of South Florida Libraries have worked with sisters Vicki and Tessie Giunta to historically document the house, farm, and ways of life.
