AI-assisted reconstruction of an antique storage trunk photographed during a visit to a château in France.

The original photographs were captured as reference material while travelling and later became part of a personal archive of textures, objects, and environmental details used throughout film and television projects.

Elements from this collection were subsequently incorporated into the visual development of the BBC feature film The Snow Queen (2005), where photographic textures and 2.5D compositing techniques were used to construct environments and set extensions inside After Effects.

Nearly two decades later, the same source photography has been revisited and transformed into a three-dimensional asset using modern AI-assisted reconstruction tools. The result serves as both a practical prop for visualisation and a small piece of production history, illustrating how archival reference material can find new life through emerging technologies.
