The project 22350M is a development for a class of frigates, designed by the Russian Navy. This design is based on the already built Project 22350, also called the Admiral Gorshkov-class.
Originally the first few ships were planned to be laid down in 2022, though shortages of material and planning delayed the progress. Currently the keel of the first ship will be laid down in 2024. Seeing the already struggling 22350 project which took up to 12 years to complete and not even a quarter of the class in service yet since 2006, it is highly unlikely that all 12 planned units of the newer 22350M class will be built, if at all. The strain of sanctions on the Russian economy have forced the shipyards to develop replacements for western parts, increasing the cost of the project drastically. Due to this fact, it is unlikely that the class will be built within the 2030s and will most likely be cancelled.
