Quicksands Landing Craft Shipwreck

This shipwreck of a suspected US Navy Landing Craft - Infantry vessel is located in the Quicksands area of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. It was used for aerial bombardment and gunnery practice. University of Miami and NOAA researchers documented the site during a project in June 2021. Project funding was provided through a grant from NOAA’s Office of Ocean Exploration.
