Ships, suns, horses and birds are often depicted on Danish Bronze Age razors. The ship motif, as a sacred symbol, suggests that the Scandinavian people were familiar with Egypt. Horses and sun crosses have Mycenaean connections and serpents can be associated with Minoan Crete. Razors shaped like a ship are similar to razors found at Greek excavation sites. Motifs of ships, suns, horses and serpents are found in various constellations on the Rock Panel of the Axes and the Rock Panel of the Dancer.
