Carved and painted red cedar bowl inlaid with abalone shell. Central crest is a raven holding the sun in its beak. Belonged to Gitxaała Sm’ooygit Wak’aas (Amos Collison) of the Ganhada (raven) clan. 55.88 x 21.59 x 24.76 cm

The real-life dish was repatriated from the Museum of Vancouver and will be displayed at the Museum of Northern British Columbia. When the Gitxaała Longhouse and Cultural Centre is completed in Lax Klan, the dish and all other repatriated belongings will return home.

Photography for 3D model was completed May 29, 2023. The processing for the model was completed in Agisoft Metashape Pro following Cultural Heritage Imaging (CHI) procedures. Photography and processing by Val Masters, Gitxaała Language and Culture Department.
