More model information

Wessex Archaeology (WA) Scotland in September 2016 visited Mackays Boatbuilders, Arbroath when the Fifie class sailing herring drifter Reaper was on the slip having repairs completed to her hull. A photogrammetric survey of the vessel was completed as part of a fleet-wide Conservation Management Plan. The 3D model of the Reaper demonstrates the vessel’s shape and lines, as well as identifying areas of twist in the hull. This survey continues WA’s ongoing support for the work of the Scottish Fisheries Museum in their conservation and preservation of vessels, artefacts and personal stories from the Scottish fishing industry. Photogrammetry by Ben Saunders.
