Lidar Information Model (LIM) – i.e. 3D model built from data captured by laser scanning – of the Red Castle (Assai Al-Hamra), the symbol of Tripoli. The castle was founded in the 17th century as a defensive fortress, probably on a Roman castrum, and in the 20th century was restored to house the headquarters of the Italian governorate. Today the castle hosts the Archaeological Museum of Tripoli that is Libya’s national museum.
