Redonda and Filhote Island (MoNa Ilhas Cagarras)

Towering on the horizon, the Redonda Island is the largest of all the islands of the Cagarras Islands Natural Monument, where the sheer cliffs contrast with the forest on its summit. It is also the highest of the islands, with 237m of altitude. The Filhote da Redonda separated from the “mother” by a 130 m wide channel, farther from the coast than any other of MoNa Cagarras. It houses a cave whose entrance is submerged, known by divers as “Round Buff”.
