Reel of Cotton

This large cotton reel was manufactured at Boar’s Head Mills, based in Darley Abbey Mills, Derby.

Most likely dating from either the 1910s or 1920s, the reel still has original circular label on one end and rectangular label wrapped around the cotton. A circular peephole in the label indicates that the cotton is black.
