More model informationLeft shoulder blade of a reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) found in 1977 in the cave »Fürstenbrunner Quellhöhle« at the Untersberg (Salzburg, Austria). The shoulder blade belongs to an adult, male reindeer dated of about 41,000 years. The shoulder blade is currently the only record of Pleistocene reindeer in the province of Salzburg.
