This detailed story of martyrdom and atoning death of Christ with addition of Old testament scenes consisted of 36 woodcuts and a cover page. Here on the stove tiles there are the images from the first sheet of the series named “The fall of the man”, the second sheet named “Adam and Eve expelled from Eden”, the third sheet “The Annunciation” and the fourth sheet of the series named “The Nativity (the adoration of the shepherds)”.
