Caritas).

Large format renaissance polychrome stove tiles from the excavation made in Rossgarten quarter of Königsberg (held by Baltspetsarkheologia in 2017-2018). The images on them are the representations of the Seven Virtues: Prudence (lat. Prudentia), Hope (lat. Spes), Charity (lat. Caritas). The prototype series of engravings is unknown. The closest cycle of images belongs to Hans Sebald Beham - “Cognition and the Seven Virtues” (1539). The proportions of the original engravings were changed to fit the size of the tiles.
