Repaired Mug

This white glazed mug depicts All Saints Church, now Derby Cathedral, on the side. It’s marked on the bottom for Derby retailer D Hackney, in a garter mark ‘D HACKNEY, CHINA MERCHANT / 7 St PETER St / DERBY’

At some point, the cup has been broken but instead of throwing it away it has been repaired and secured using silk thread.
