More model informationThis rhyolite tuff is mostly glass, but contains some phenoscrysts of glassy gray quartz and salmon-colored K-feldspar. There are also a few scattered phenocrysts of black hornblende. The specimen comes from the Frying Pan Basin in Montana. It is about 8 cm in longest dimension.
