More model informationPhotographed, built and provided by Bjarne Erik Roscher (Board of directors Stiftelsen Ringerikes Nikkelverk). Scene shows the old nickel mines of the Ringerike Nikkelverk in Buskerud, Norway. In the north there are the mines - most prominent the mine number 2 which goes down to 170 m but is water filled at the moment. In the south you start your VR journey at the Scheideplatz where gray stone was seperated by hand from the nickel ore.
The “Stiftelsen Ringerikes Nikkelverk” is in the process of buying the property and is planning to establish a mining museum within the next years.
Enjoy your trip trough the industrial landscape which was created in the period of 1848 to 1920.
Yours Bjarne Roscher
