Another of the carvings close to the track found in a private plantation in the Rivock area of Rombalds Moor, West Yorkshire.
Boughey & Vickerman reference this stone IAG 66 in their 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’, describing: ‘Large high fairly smooth grit rock. Seven cups, one with irregular triple ring.’
CSI: Rombalds Moor project’s subsequent recording referenced the stone ‘Rivock 22’, noting additional cups and possible grooves on the edge of the rock.
The rock is comprised of large grain sandstone, resulting in an extremely pitted surface. In some light (virtual), do cups appear to have natural rings???

This decimated model just shows the carved upper surface and was created from 15 stereo pairs captured by Dave Spencer (CSI Team) in June 2013. The imagery forms part of the HLF funded CSI: Rombalds Moor / Watershed Landscape Project archive.
