Robert Hutchinson Tombstone3D Model
A member of Company F in the 2nd Michigan Infantry during the Civil War, Robert Hutchinson was buried in the GAR plot of Evergreen Cemetery after his death in 1894. He evidently died of strychnine poisoning. Mr. Hutchinson was born sometime between 1839 and 1841 - accounts vary as to the place and date of his birth (Michigan in 1841 or near Newfoundland in 1839). In any case, he lived in Felton, which is near Santa Cruz, after his military service had ended. I have been unable to find any information on Mr. Hutchinson’s family or occupation, or the circumstances that might have led to his poisoning.
