This model was made for a college assignement in which a product had to be developed that could benefit people. I chose to create this arm as I belived it to be a feasable piece of technology that could realistically be developed in the near future. Initial ideas such as teleporters and hoover boots were considered to be too unrealsitic. Inspiration for this model came from YouTube and Instagram accounts featuring similar 3D work along with informative videos on the use and function of exisitng prosthetic arms. I wanted to create an arm that maintained the familair human form of an arm with full motions such as an adjustable elbow and five finger movements.
Modelled and animated in Blender. Textured and baked in Substance Painter. Set to accurate scale. Ready for use in a game/animation scene. PBR textures (AO, Base, Metallic, Normal, Roughness, Emission).
