Rock art (hällmålning) Torslanda 216:1, Sweden 3D Model
Bronze-Age painted rock art (hällmålning). The RAÄ site name is Torslanda 216:1 – see http://kulturarvsdata.se/raa/fmi/html/10161102160001. This is in Torlanda, on the outskirts of Gothenburg, Sweden: https://goo.gl/maps/87ku2Tq9m1p
Surviving painted prehistoric rock art is rare – http://www.ismoluukkonen.net/kalliotaide/piirros/list.html has an overview of Scandinavian examples.
The rock face is near vertical, perhaps overhanging slightly. It looks out to the south, to a valley that was probably a bay when the painting was made. The RAÄ inspection interprets the paintings as 4 ships, 4 fish, a deer (whose antlers form a strange network), some wavy lines and some other shapes – see the “scannat dokument” link in the first link above, leading to http://www.fmis.raa.se/cocoon/fornsok/scanned_ref.pdf?label=Torslanda+216%3A1&url=14%2F1480%2F1611%2Fdokument%2F1611-0215-0216-01-D.jpg
