Located in the Bureau of Land Management’s Stillwater Field Office management area in Nevada, the Rock Creek Overland Stage Station served as an important stop on the Overland Mail & Stage Company’s historic line along the Simpson route between Salt Lake City and Genoa, Nevada.

Fresh horses, blacksmith services, and wagon-repair facilities were all available here. The Overland Stage line operated until the first transcontinental railroad was completed in 1891.
