More model informationAn asset I created for the Medieval Engineers game/software. Late Roman helmets are extremely rare. So I took what is known from earlier and later archaeological finds, and incorporated them into what could have been a simple, effective, mass-produced iron helmet for auxiliaries on Hadrian’s Wall in the middle of the 3rd century C.E. The “orichalcum” (gold-toned brass) trim is a well-known feature throughout the Roman period.
