Bowl from roman villa of S. Cucufate, Alentejo, Portugal. Roman Empire (1st century AD to 5th century AD). Roman common-ware pottery. Hemispherical bowl with simple edge and slightly inward facing. The bowl was used for the individual consumption of liquid and semi-liquid foods, and their occasional use in the preparation and serving of meals. This specimen is 7.4 cm in height and 15.1 cm in diameter. Currently it is displayed in the permanent exhibition of the museum of S. Cucufate (Vila de Frades, Vidigueira). Catalog No. CUC. 85 199.
