Hi Albert, is this model for sale? If yes, can I build on the model? I need to add two underground cisterns. Or if you could buid a new model based on the position of two cisterns (which is the only archeological reference of the Domus), how much would you charge for this job?
@caton.laubergiste
The model is indeed intended for students to learn about Roman culture; therefore thank you for sharing this with yours.
Good point for atrium mosaic, I will see what I can do to improve...
However I decide to place this mosaic in tablinum because it is from first century B.C.; from Pompeii (source: Naples National Archaeological Museum).
The name of mocais is carpe diem, so from my point “seize the day” is perfect for working room![😃](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f603.png)
P.S.
I updated description with some links so if you would like to test the Roman House in more interactive way, fell free.
Your artwork is amazing! You decorated the rooms so well and even organized a guided tour! I showed your work to my students.
A small negative point: the mosaic of the atrium overflows on the cubicula. It is surely difficult to redraw all the mosaics, room by room.
A question: was there really a skeleton on the floor of the tablinum?
