More model informationThis fragment of Roman tegula from Canterbury, Kent, bears the imprint of a child’s bare foot. Tiles would be air dried in the open before they were fired in a kiln, so it’s not uncommon to find the footprints of humans and animals, as well as grafitti.
False colour model.
On display at Canterbury’s Roman Museum, Kent, UK.
