A wider scale model of the former engine bed at https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/rosedale-east-engine-bed-close-40d4b38ab2244f29a4ca0862d6ca8b0f. The shape of the drift mine and its collapsed entrance can be made out in the land. The picture below shows the original stationary engine from the west side (Hollins Mine), which was repositioned on East side for hauling. In 1879 Rosedale and Ferryhill mining company went bust. In 1881 it was taken over by the Milburn family, but run by the Carlton Iron Co, until 1900. Picture by Thomas Smith:
