Ruins of the Church: "San Cesario alle Prebende" 3D Model
According to local tradition, the body of San Cesario, after suffering martyrdom, was buried in a place in the Terracina’s valley in one place said in “Agro Varano” because it belonged to a wealthy family in Roman times, the Vari (Gens Vara) that converts to Christianity A Basilica dedicated to the Saint was built on the site of the burial entitled “Santa Maria ad Martyres”. Around the remains of the church, in a green area but surrounded by palaces, is located still a vast necropolis that from Roman times was used until the late Middle Ages.
