Rumah Adat Durjela3D Model
The Rumah Adat Durjela is a used for traditional communal gatherings in a village on the west coast of Warmar Island, Aru, Maluku, Indonesia (MAHS-IDN-MLK-ARU-PPA-S-001-F-0001). This example of vernacular architecture was built in 1915 and adopts elements of both traditional and colonial styles. The wooden floor is elevated; verandahs extend from both the front and back of the house. The lower walls are made from a mixture of lime and sand, while the upper walls are built with wooden planks. A simple wood-framed gable roof is covered with thatch. According to the current owner, this was formerly the house of King Andreas, a prominent local ruler in Aru.
