Rumah Adat Worat-worat, Maluku Utara, Indonesia3D Model
The traditional hall (rumah adat sasadu) (MAHS-IDN-MLU-HLB-SAH-S-002-F-0001) of Worat-worat village is used by the Sahu community as the ritual setting for their annual harvest feast. Measuring 10.8m high x 18.6m long x 12m widek, it has a hexagonal open floor plan and a steep pitched thatched room and ornamental cupola supported by timber framing. The awnings around its verandah flatten out as they extend. According to local tradition, the hexagonal plan of the hall is symbolically reminiicent of a ship.
