More model informationThe preservation of this enormous neon sign didn’t fall short of blood sweat and tears. Taking signs down in Las Vegas is a lot riskier, expensive and takes a lot of coordinating with helpers. During the dismantling process of the Sahara, Will Durham had to coordinate the disassembly with a local sign company. During that time, the casinos were having a union strike and everyone, including his helpers, decided to march for their rights. Will was left alone to load the signs into the truck in 100 degree Las Vegas heat. Drenched in sweat, delirious and dehydrated, Will had sucessfully loaded all 6 massive letters into his truck and drove them up to Reno.
