Trying to capture a large structure shooting from a tripod. I wanted to use a tripod because I’m exploring shooting techniques (vs. handheld). Using the tripod I shot 300 photos at 15 degree increments horizontally and vertically covering the front of the church. The tripod was repositioned across the front of the church at five positions, starting at the left. The total time to shoot was about 40 minutes. I used a Canon T2i with an 18mm lense.
This model was created using RealityCapture. It was created using preview mode. Using normal mode the model became too complex. With 89M tris, it could not display on my workstation as anything but a point cloud. The normal model has much more detail particularly in the name plate at the lower left.
