More model informationThe building was constructed about 1530-1550 by the Dussouchet family. In the 18th century the building belonged to the family of the Duc de Saint-Simon (1675-1755) who described in his Mémoires the life at the court of Louis XIV. From this period onwards the building has born the name of the family. The composition of the façade and its decoration are characteristic of the architecture of the first French Renaissance : geometric patterns underlining the great lines of the architecture, medallions in the classical style, shells (a favorite shape of the Renaissance).
