The wreck was found by Arkeologikonsult and is located in the city center of Stockholm. In Kungsträdgården. SMTM has helped with the documentation. Its a carvel built ship and has been dated to the late 1590´s. It has most likely been identified as Samson which was built in 1599 in Hälsingland. The ship was an hybrid and build as a cargoship but with 10-20 guns for the Navy. Some features on in the construction on the wreck are unusual but can be seen on the wrecks of Elefanten (1554) and Mars (1563).
