Sandbanks Air Raid Shelter

3D Model

A Second World War air raid shelter next to Panorama Road at the south west corner of Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset.

The air raid shelter was for the use of local residents as Sandbanks was a prominent target for aircraft being next to Poole Harbour. The shelter used to be longer but the toilet block at the end has been removed/destroyed when a neighbouring propert was demolished.

The air raid shelter is on PRIVATE PROPERTY, do not attempt to enter it. Permission was kindly granted by the property owner before photographing.
