More model informationA beer-stein-like gunpowder chamber for a “verso” (a type of small, wrought-iron swivel gun). The piece is a cylinder built of a single planchet of iron wrapped around an iron-base plug, with an iron handle welded to the outside surface. The chamber is pierced with a touchhole near the base. This is a well-preserved example, with an intact handle, and well-defined touchhole recess. It is 21.8 cm long. The bore is 5.8 cm diameter and 19 cm deep, with a volume of 502 cubic centimeters.
