More model informationSarcosuchus is an extinct genus of crocodyliform from the Early Cretaceous of Africa and South America. It is known from two species, S. imperator from the Elrhaz Formation of Niger and S. hartti from the Recôncavo Basin of Brazil. Sarcosuchus is commonly classified as part of the clade Pholidosauridae, a group of crocodile-like reptiles related to but outside Crocodylia clade
