This font, in St.Mary’s parish church in Deerhurst (Gloucestershire, UK) is described with certainty by the church as “the finest Saxon font in existence today, dating from the 9th century”. It was discarded in 1653 but re-discovered on a local farm in 1843 (where it was being used as a drinking trough for livestock) and later reunited with the base. There is an octagonal stone plinth, now protected by a wooden platform with uplighters.
3D file created using Colmap software, January 2018. The default view is looking from south to north, roughly, I think. The colour balance looks similar to how I remember it, and so is the state of the decorative detail (except for a serious gap in the data on the east side, just below the rim). To see the patterns, it can be useful to select Matcap in the Model Inspector, which gives a glossy uncoloured version.
