Scanlon’s Barge aka Harltiner Barge is one of the shallow wrecks in Thunder Bay, Lake Huron that can be snorkeled or dived. It is one of many wrecks that lie in Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Not much is known about the circumstances causing the loss of this 80 ft barge. The wreck was a wooden construction barge and lies in three areas. This is the side area. There is also part of the crane and an area containing its boiler and winches.
